Transforming lives on four continents

BMS Stamp Bureau volunteers

Since the late 1920s, the BMS Stamp Bureau has been raising money for BMS World Mission by gathering and selling used postage stamps and other collectibles. The Bureau raises thousands of pounds each year for world mission, but needs help with the processing and disposal of material received at Baptist House.

Wanted – Sorting / Kiloware Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist with the BMS Stamp Bureau, which receives and sells stamps, cards, coins and other collectables to raise funds for BMS. You will receive donations, acknowledge them, undertake the sorting of material required by others in the Stamp Bureau, and sell the balance to known stamps dealers.

This position would suit a semi/recently retired person or homemaker, with a reasonable knowledge of stamps (although not essential as the job is not difficult and some initial help will be given), and a wish to assist in raising funds for mission through BMS. It is preferred that an applicant lives within easy reach of either Didcot or our International Mission Centre (IMC) at Selly Oak, Birmingham.

The position is entirely voluntary.
